April showers bring May flowers. When you walk into Sweet Saffron first thing you will see is this big lotus flower on the wall. (shout out to my hubby Sean for free hand painting it!!)
Even though lotus flowers don't bloom until Summer I thought I'd talk about it since the meaning behind it brings a sense of renewal or Spring rebirth feeling.
The Lotus flower is regarded in many different cultures, especially in eastern religions, as a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. Its characteristics are a perfect analogy for the human condition: even when its roots are in the dirtiest waters, the Lotus produces the most beautiful flower.
I once read that the petals of a lotus represent worries sliding off of your shoulders. Just like when the rain falls on a lotus' it just slowing rolls off because the shape of the petal.
When you step into Sweet Saffron I want you to feel the immediate relief from the "noise" of the world. I want those troubles and worries to roll off you so you can center again.
Aka give yourself a break! Take a moment from needing to be somewhere, do something, be somebody for someone.
Here are a few of my favorite treatments to welcome in Spring and a sense of renewal through skincare:
Milk Baths! ---> yep! Grab a 1/2 gallon of coconut milk or regular and pour it into your hot bath. Talk about silky smooth skin! try adding rose essential oil for extra luxury.

Start up my clay mask routine. I use this clay mask to add essential nutrients to my skin for the season change.
and of course book a facial :) our skin changes with the weather and seasons period, it just does.
2018 just got the keys to the studio. I just couldn't find an art piece that felt right. Guess who stepped up to give free hand painting a try? Mr. Sweet Saffron himself. Meet my husband Sean-Michael. You will never hear this man say the words "I can't or give up" He will figure it out one way or another. Including free handing a giant flower on a blank wall without even knowing. Thank you love.
